Happy Food Days!

Hey guys!  So, for anyone who doesn’t know, we had a last minute, incomplete (boo, work) gathering this past weekend to celebrate National Margarita Day!

I was as disappointed as you to realize that, actually, not every day is National Margarita Day, only February 22.  Just a few weeks ago I celebrated World Nutella Day (February 5) by making these bad boys, which my boyfriend and co-workers keep asking about.  Also, Amanda just made this if you want other nutella recipes.  All of this food celebrating got me thinking about all of the other possibilities for food related holidays, there is an entire Wikipedia page dedicated to national and international food holidays.  This list clearly isn’t exhaustive as World Nutella Day and National Margarita Day aren’t even mentioned, but still, I’ve picked my favorite from each month (it was really hard to pick just one) and propose that we always celebrate accordingly:

January 20 – National Cheese Day

February 9 – National Pizza Day

March 1 – National Sandwich Day

April 26 – National Pretzel Day

May 28 – International Hamburger Day

June 15 – National Lobster Day

July (3rd Sunday) – National Ice Cream Day (by presidential proclamation!)

August 10 – National S’more Day

September 29 –International Coffee Day

October 29 – National Oatmeal Day

November 6 – National Nachos Day

December 31 – National Champagne Day

So, who’s in?  Do you guys propose any other food holidays?  There were so many to choose, especially for July and November for some reason.  Some of my other favorites are:

August 2 – International Beer Day

February 6 – National Frozen Yogurt Day

1st Friday in June – National Donut Day

July 24 – National Tequlia Day

August 31 – National Trail Mix Day (or as I like to call it – Nut Bucket Day)

November 26 – National Cake Day

  1. I’ve been obsessed all day with turning this idea into another blog. Why celebrate one food holiday when we can celebrate them all….?

  2. We have to celebrate all of them!

  3. I thought every day was cheese day?
