Cup Design

Last Thursday, a friend and coworker approached me with a project.  Come up with something cool to draw on a Starbucks cup.  This is what I came up with and the steps to finish the process.

Step 1: Create Design

Step 2: Trace design using tracing paper and line the tracing paper with transfer paper.  Place the transfer paper on the surface and press with maker to transfer the line design.

Step 3: Finish the drawing free hand in either pencil or marker.  Whatever you are more comfortable with will work.

  1. That’s such a cool idea, not only are you obviously a talented drawer, you’re creative enough to come up with the idea of an octopus. I’m pretty sure the extent of my creativity would be drawing a ring around the outside where the coffee is filled to, or maybe a stick figure.

  2. I think the anchor is my favorite part. The detail around there is really neat.
